Description

Donna Dewberry takes her One Stroke painting technique into the garden with a collection of painted fountains and birdbaths fashioned from clay pots and saucers and metal buckets and watering cans. The clay pots are inexpensive to buy, to assemble, and make wonderful surfaces for painting. Fountains are surprisingly easy to construct. You need a bottom container that is deep enough to hold enough water to submerge the pump. The goal is to have the water come out the top of your fountain construction, then trickle down to the bottom reservoir for recirculation. Plastic tubing is the vehicle used to get the water from the pump to the top of the construction. One end of the tubing is connected to the outflow valve of the pump, the other end is taken to the top of the fountain where the water exits and begins its journey back down. Easy and so much fun.
