Computer Projects for Family and Consumer Sciences

Contains 50 projects your students can do using equipment and software you probably have in your classroom. Recommended Web sites have been updated, and suggested software titles have been revised to reflect the everchanging computer industry. Several projects are included for each of the following curriculum areas: Textiles and Clothing, Food and Nutrition, Child Development and Parenting, Consumer Education, Housing and Home Furnishings, and Personal Development and Family Living. The projects can be photocopied for use in your classroom. Each project is 3-4 pages and includes an introduction, objectives, a list of tools and software needed, step-by-step instructions, assessment tools, and additional variations. The activities are general and do not specify the use of a particular computer or software program. Samples of completed projects are included.
