Sonny's Fort: A Light in Charleston Harbor

Sonny's Fort is a window into the life and adventures of a young boy and his family who lived on Fort Sumter. Much has been written about the Civil War history of this small island in Charleston Harbor, but little is known about the residents who called this island home. The story takes place during the early years before and during World War Two. It is reminiscent of a Tom Sawyer adventure, but tells another interesting role Fort Sumter has played in our history.
