Shooter: An Autobiography : The Life and Times of Bob Allen

Bob’s life story is filled with his experiences through childhood, love affairs, a World War, National and International competitions, as well as the glamour of Monte Carlo, Cuba under Batista, and the adventures he survived, with a lot of help from his extraordinary Irish Luck and a number of wonderful people along the way.

His boyhood understood the Great Depression, his young adulthood survived World War II in the Pacific Theater as Gunnery Officer for the 20th Air Force, and in his manhood he shot his way into all the Halls of Fame, Nationally and Internationally. Bob “Shooter” Allen is one of those men from, what Tom Brokaw coined, the “Greatest Generation!”

This is an autobiography about shooting, trophies won, and entries lost, by a man who was fired from his first real job on his first day and then went on to become a legend in the sportswear manufacturing business. Bob Allen and his wife make their home in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
