Chinese Views of America: A Historical Interpretation (Series Studies in Sino-American Relations)

[This book is written in Chinese.] Some people say America is heaven, some say it is hell. What kind of country is America, from the viewpoint of the Chinese? Since the early 19th century, Chinese people have had various views of America. This book contains the views on America of Lin Zexu, Sun Zhongshan, Hu Shi, Mao Zedong and others. This book comments on all kinds of Chinese views of America, and analyzes the historic background in which these views came into being. It also looks at the flux of the Sino-America relationship and its underlying causes from many new perspectives.
