A clandestine sensual romance between Emily Winters and her sister's husband is unleashed. In an effort to separate herself from the demands and attention of such an alliance and escape the rigorous hum-drum of a professional career that has long dominated her life, Emily travels abroad, hoping the distance between feelings and action would, in time, terminate the relationship.
