Buckingham Burials, A Survey of Cemeteries in Buckingham County, Virginia: Volume 2

This volume contains all the cemeteries surveyed by the author that were not mentioned in Volume I of this series. Seventy-three cemeteries are listed in this volume, including four unidentified cemeteries, and three Indian mound locations. Entries include (as available) the full name of the deceased, the dates of birth and death, the age at death, the name of spouse, maiden name of spouse (if applicable), and whether or not there is a tombstone. Many entries also provide inscriptions and/or tidbits of supplemental information. The supplemental information may describe the condition of the marker, indicate that a marker is shared with a spouse or other relative, refer to adjacent graves of other family members that are marked only by fieldstones, and/or give the name of one or more relatives. A full name index adds to the value of this work.
