Increase Our Faith: Parish Prayer Services for Whole Community Catechesis, Year B

This collection of prayer services by liturgical composer David Haas contains services for each week of Year B as well as key feast days. The services are written in the spirit of whole community catechesis, and can be used with both adult groups and intergenerational gatherings. Each prayer services features the following elements: • an invitation to prayer • a reading of the gospel from the previous Sunday or feast day • a “question of the week,” one for adults and one for children, based on the gospel reading, which breaks open the Word for faith sharing and personal reflection • a second question that offers an opportunity to connect the gospel reading to the particular focus of the meeting or gathering at hand • a litany of faith that can be sung or spoken • a prayer and final blessing.
