Mrs. Wren has built a nest in the hanging flower basket on Mr. Peirce's porch. Soon two baby birds can be seen peeking through the flowers, and with the help of Mr. Peirce, Mrs. Wren teaches her babies to fly.
Mr. Peirce takes children along with Mrs. Wren in her quest to find the perfect location for her nest, laying her eggs, her babies hatching and then the wonderful experience of teaching her babies to fly.
"Flying Lessons" is based on Mr. Peirce's actual observations of a mother bird teaching her babies to fly. It is a soft cover book and is beautifully illustrated throughout in full color. It would be the perfect gift for any child, and would make a wonderful addition to any read aloud library.
