From December 2nd to 5th, 2007, the University of Regensburg-based eHealth Competence Center (eHCC) organized an International Conference on eHealth, thereby aiming at uniquely combining Health Telematics, Telemedicine, Biomedical Engineering, and Bioinformatics to the Edge. The event was scientifically supported by several national and international organizations like IMIA, EFMI, GMDS, ISfTeH, and the Czech Society of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Informatics. This volume contains the high quality outcome of specific CeHR 2007 seminars, workshops, sessions, and symposia comprehensively addressing cooperation, collaboration, and potential projects between Europe and Latin America (ELAN); analyzing current and future cross-border activities between Austria, Switzerland; and Germany; promoting current ehealth achievements of MEDTEL Prague, Czech Republic, and presenting posters and papers on telematics, infrastructures, information systems, decision support systems, and telemedical applications. The volume mainly addresses software developers, decision makers, students actively working or interested in the field of ehealth. This book complements the Global Experts Summit Textbook which provides a scientifically sound and comprehensive overview on the domain of ehealth written by globally leading experts in the domain.
