Description ▲
Rustam Tajik, a US educated Afghan, lost his parents from military action of NATO coalition forces in Ghazni, Afghanistan. Devastated by the death-dealing blow, he is even more enraged at his parents being chalked up as collateral damage. After deep deliberation, he resolves that his only option is to respond by effectuating revenge in Washington D.C., erstwhile a second home to him. His stratagem is embodied in recruiting a handful of accomplices enduring similar personal afflictions. The book traces the coterie’s trek from training in Pakistan, smuggling into America through Mexico, and associated ventures en route to avenging their losses. AWB has worked in various capacities with consulting companies, and a 10-year stint with the telephone company in Northern Virginia. He received an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, and an MBA from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. This is his first fiction novel. He lives in Des Moines, Iowa, with his wife and three sons.
