Sal and Doris followed their dream. It led them from the trains, traffic, and supermarkets of New York to a tiny hilltop farm 20 minutes from the nearest paved road. Quiet. Peace. And fifteen years of culture shock. From the desperate breech birth of a calf with no vet within hours, to the homey singing around the piano, to the fun of celebrating their fortieth anniversary at a World’s Fair, to the tragic - never make a pet of a pig you’re going to eat! … to the adventures with eternal consequences: they taste a local church and see that God’s love fills it - in fact, Sal encounters the person of Jesus in that little church.
