Harvard Unleashed

Harvard Unleashed is a myth-busting lampoon of academic gamesmanship. The nation's oldest and richest university may never be the same after foolishly accepting stock in a dog food company in order to set up a think tank for dogs! The nutty donor, Emanuel Blackhead (founder of KibbleNibble) persuades his nephew Marvin (a Harvard has-been) to return to Cambridge as CEO of R.I.C.H: the Research Institute for Canine Happiness. For Harvard and its pompous new president, however, RICH brings only migraines. The university is publicly ousted for its investment in a Mafia-controlled Greyhound Track, President Larry Summers' connection to the bin Laden family is exposed, and Summers and the university become targets of a Machiavellian conspiracy to imperil Harvard's tax exemption. Then, in a plot twist worthy of Shakespeare, Marvin and Manny are indicted for attempted extortion and face long prison terms. As if that isn't bad enough, when First Dog Millie ends up in Walter Reed Hospital after eating some tainted KibbleNibble, Marvin and Manny and their entire family (including Supermutts Maxie and Minnie) are placed on the White House Enemies List! Among the many notables who show up in this zany political circus are Gloria Allred, Prince Bandar, Brigitte Bardot, Chevy Chase, the Dalai Lama, Alan Dershowitz, Will Ferrell, Marjorie Garber, Larry King, Henry Kissinger, Cotton Mather, Ingrid Newkirk, Robert Rubin, and Handsome Dan (the Yale Bulldog).
