At Home Above the Dome

The contents of this book are true historical memoirs. They are drawn from the memory of our mother, Mabel Daugherty, when she was five years old living on a hill overlooking the West Baden Springs Hotel. She is in her 90’s now, but she still possesses great acuity of mind. Her vivid memory of days gone by has given her six children insight into the world of her childhood.

It is with great hope and expectation that readers will get a glimpse of life as it was in 1915-1916 for a precocious five-year-old girl observing the highest degree of glamour from a lowly home overlooking the West Baden Spring Hotel.
