Prophet's Son, Book 2: Sojourn in the Desert

Sojourn in the Desert continues the story started in Book 1, Descent into Darkness wherein Phinehas saw his family destroyed by his blood enemy, Judas. As the story opens, his wife Esther is gone and his daughter Rachel has been kidnapped. Meanwhile Phinehas sits alone in his home, crushed in spirit, near dying of despair, images of his screaming daughter Rachel – now out in the desert somewhere, headed to the slave markets in the capital of the Persian Empire, to a fate worse than death – flying by his mind’s eye in contorted agony. What will become of Rachel? And can Phinehas survive his awful ordeal? Sojourn in the Desert follows Phinehas as he walks the arid path he has chosen. It also follows his daughter Rachel as she is carried to her ultimate fate in the desert.
