K-12

Out of the simplicity of the 1950s grew the complexity of the 1960s and the creation of the youth culture. It is within this context that K-12 follows the development of Vinny Mancuso, a young boy in love with the Brooklyn Dodgers, raised in a Roman Catholic family, shaped by parochial education, and influenced by the sprawling suburban landscape where his closest friend is a Jewish boy. The reader has an opportunity to look backward and forward, and to celebrate the past and the future, as Vinny learns to cherish lasting friendships, and to balance yesterday's hopes and dreams with tomorrow's ambitions. K-12 is a novel of loss and discovery against the backdrop of an undefined future. This is what gives life its very essence and meaning.
