A Place Between Love and Hate

In every school there happens to be one outcast... and this is the story of that one outcast in particular. Maxwell Wolff, or Max for short, is the school loser. No friends, no girlfriend, and the reputation of emo loner. When his school year ends with an encounter with the infamous school bully, he is convinced summer won't be any better than school itself. Then he meets Eve. Eve Beauregard is different than any other girl she knows. It's not just her Goth appearance that sets her apart, it's what she is hiding. Ace happens to be best friends with Eve and he knows their secret because it is one they share. He sees Max as a double-threat, not only because Max might find out their secret, but because he is not the only one falling for Eve.
