WHO SHOULD READ THIS BOOK? Logically those young people who are in the dating stage and are beginning to look for a person they could live with for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, such young people don t take readily to advice from others, so it would do no harm if their parents would read the book and in one way or another get across to their children the elements they feel would be most important in the selection of their future partner. Even those who are close to an engagement, or actually engaged but have not as yet said, I do. It may reinforce any questions they have as to whether they have chosen the right guy or girl. Older adults who did not have a happy marriage and are now single could benefit but only if they are interested in trying again. You might find it interesting to list the characteristics you might like in a second (or third) marriage. Finally, it wouldn t hurt married couples to read this book (It is relatively short) and give some thought to the degree to which their own good marriage could be even better. Each partner might agree on one or more characteristics in which they could improve and would enhance their marriage. It certainly could result in some interesting discussions.
