This Too Shall Pass Away

Although she has lived a faithful and godly life up to this point, Louise Wilds and her husband face a traumatic event seemingly unfitting for such a good family. Louise, like others in similar situations, understands that not everything that happens in life can be explained, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a purpose in God's master plan. At forty years old, Louise births Kelly, a child with a heart defect. Questions arise as this new bundle of joy produces more concern, worry, and anger at the injustice of such a helpless situation. How could God give this family--this child--life, only to take it away? Baby Kelly's life, though short, is about to produce a Pentecostal experience that will shake an entire community and generate a change in the life of believers and nonbelievers alike with the presence of a God who not only works in mysterious ways but also makes his presence known.
