Deadly Roles

Deadly Roles: Interactive Games of Murder and Mystery is a collection of seven interactive murder mystery games in which players take on character roles, search for clues and solve mysteries in Halloween-party settings. Games are themed on different ways death has been regarded from the Middle Ages to the present, and the impact these views still have on daily life as a result. These mysterious topics include the plague, death omens, alchemy, funerals, Underworld legends, graveyards and legends of the undead. Each chapter and game contains character backgrounds, game materials such as Spell Books, Alchemy Books and Books of the Undead, instructions for setting up deadly atmosphere and rules of play. In addition, each game in Deadly Roles is written in story form to be enjoyed from the safety of one’s living room in addition to being brought to life through a party.
