Shifting Shape of Peace: Chief Wonalancet Follows the Shapeshifter's Path to Peace

The “Shifting Shape of Peace” is the third in a series of seven historical novels about the effects of European settlement upon the Native peoples of the Northeastern United States, especially New Hampshire. Through the “Shifting Shape of Peace” the reader is brought back to critical moments in the early history of the English relationship with New England that became the basis for the wars that decimated the Penacook (Penagok) People, leading to holocaust and diaspora of the Penacook and other Northeastern peoples.
