About the Author Joy Mastroianni lives in Springfield, Massachusetts. She loves the time periods of the past. "This is a sequel. Chase was introduced in Mistaken Identity. I came across a photo of a handsome man and Mistaken Identity was created, and with that, the character of Chase the Wind was inspired. I wanted to use time travel to bring to the story a strong feminine woman who was in control of her own destiny and was not looking for love. Women of the 1890s could not say the things that a woman of today would. I wanted that kind of female voice to take on Chase."
