Originally, we had planned to write a report. - from the foreword to The Prodigal Son Tommy Gibbs was not your average kid growing up on the Southeast side of D.C.; a place where anything can happen at any given moment. Gibbs was introduced to a life of crime at an early age. His father, whom he idolized, was a well-known Drug Lord. As times went on, Gibbs yearned more and more to be like his father. That is until his world is turned upside down after his father is gunned down on the same streets that vowed their undying love for him. Gibbs quickly becomes charged with the responsibility of taking on the role as the man of the house. He shortly begins his quest towards the American dream: fast money, fast cars and women. That's when he finally starts to comprehend exactly what kind of man he has become and what his fate will be if he doesn't change.
