Green Tribology, Surface Engineering and Global Warming

Global warming due to anthropogenic emissions requires early remedies in order to avoid drastic change in the climate and the accompanying chaos. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns that serious side effects of warming have become evident; and the cost of reducing emissions is far less than the damage they will cause.
Green engineering efforts for tackling the global warming problem is of recent origin. There has been phenomenal growth in research activities in green tribology and surface engineering including recent world conferences and articles devoted to surface modification technologies for green tribology.
