The Tree Whisperer: A Tree-Huggers Biography Told in 15 Episodes

In this book Jesse Mc Elroy describes fateful events of his life in a diary containing 15 episodes. He was born & lived for the first 4 years with his grandmother in Evansville; attended school in Cincinnati; studied at Corvallis' University sciences of sylvan culture & tree physiology; married rich; was involved in politics; witnessed Pearl Harbor; is injured in a secret mission; is honorably discharged from US service; & taught at Berkeley's University. US Government appointed Jesse as trustee of his son's property. He enlarged his son's company which became largest US forest & wood conglomerate. Competition tried to eliminate him; he escaped attacks & transferred the majority of his property to his son. All his life Jesse was able to communicate with trees. Located in a Canadian log home, he wrote a Forest & Wood Encyclopedia of 103 volumes which was published by his son in 1989 after Jesse Mc Elroy's death.
