This mystery, set in the present day in the old town of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, gives the reader a chilling introduction to some forgotten history of the Osage Nation, circa 1920s. Back then, the Twenties 'roared' and oil was being discovered everywhere in northern Oklahoma. Savvy Osages had seen to it that the property they bought from the Cherokee Nation for their reservation, included not just surface rights, but all mineral rights. The Boom made them wealthy, and attracted unscrupulous persons who preyed upon them. The murders and kidnapping attracted national attention, and became the first case investigated by the newly formed FBI.Â
Cobwebs delves into hidden family history, and present day deceptions and vendettas.
