During WW2, Annie's Special Operations Executive orders are to infiltrate German Headquarters in occupied Paris and relay intelligence back to London. A chance meeting with Otto, an SS Officer, provides her with the opportunity to advance her mission. Neither of them is prepared for where their relationship will lead them. The relationship presents Annie with patriotic, emotional and moral dilemmas and eventually is influential in leading Otto to a Damascene moment. As the war ends leaving Europe and its peoples fractured and utterly destroyed could this be a metaphor for the future of Annie and Otto's relationship?
