Raja: The Story of an Indian Elephant

Raja was born wild and free in the jungle, but at just ten years old, he is captured by men, separated from his herd and taken to a training camp. Frightened, distrustful and missing his mother, Raja is all alone, but not for long! Vijay, a junior mahout, befriends the young elephant and before long, the pair are inseparable. Searching for the opportunity to prove themselves, Raja and Vijay move from adventure to adventure - tiger hunts, royal favour and disgrace, fights with robbers . . . But will they ever achieve the greatest honour of all and lead the annual festival in honour of Lord Shiva? Whatever happens, getting there won't be easy!
