2025: Ice-Bound Britain

In Britain we are now braced for our sixth freezing winter in a row following the coldest Spring in over 100 years. This book, written in 2008, was the first to highlight the unfashionable link between the worrying absence of sunspot activity now and the almost identical data recorded at the time of the last mini ice-age 200 years ago, a time when the River Thames froze over. The complete absence of surface warming over the last 15 years coupled with the drastic fall in winter temperatures this century is now causing alarm throughout the scientific community and supports the conclusion that Britain is on the cusp of a mini ice-age that could last for 30 years. This is an early warning that a brutal new era of freezing weather is about to irrevocably change the way we live.
