Description ▲
The International Conference on Management of Natural Resources, Sustainable Development and Ecological Hazards (Ravage of the Planet for short) is organized biennially to discuss and seek solutions for the problems affecting our civilization as we try to balance development with a more harmonious relationship with nature. The latest iteration of the Meeting was organized by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and the Wessex Institute of Technology (UK). This book contains most of the papers presented at the third meeting. The papers contained in this book cover a multitude of approaches to solving or mitigating the negative impacts of human actions on nature, including a range of research topics in the sciences and humanities, political and social issues, planning and development, health and safety, ecology and natural resources and new technologies. It is hoped that the ideas presented in the book will contribute to finding the solutions that are urgently needed to the fundamental problems facing our planet. An important aspect of transdisciplinary meetings such as the Ravage of the Planet is that they can transcend the scientific communitys current paradigms to arrive at solutions that bring man closer to nature.
