Paper Boys: A Vision for the Contemporary Church

Viv Thomas suggests a future for Christianity in general and evangelicalism in particular. Through the metaphor of the paper boy who is individual, competitive, and goal oriented, an image of Western evangelicals and charismatics is presented. Evangelicals have been profoundly shaped by the cultural values which have dominated the West during the last two hundred years and are in trouble today as they struggle to come to terms with present cultural conditions. Paper Boys shows a way forward in the reformation of a spirituality around God as Trinity.
