This book is a handbook for all those entering the therapeutic field without previous experience in constructing, executing, assessing, testing and using case-studies. Designed to help those starting work with patients and students settling into early placements, the book draws on anthropological, biographical and medical models of case-study, stresses ways of bridging the humanist and scientific approaches and emphasizing the value of the patient (as well as the therapist) discovering his or her own story.
