Children's Understanding in the New Europe (European Issues in Children's Identity & Citizenship Series)

This series reflects the thoughts of writers from different disciplines, cultures and pedagogies and offers an observation of the changes in young people's socialization in Europe. The writers question whether the manner in which young people learn to understand their own societies and the societies of their neighbours will influence the future development of social and political institutions. The ways in which higher education institutions educate social workers, teachers, early childhood workers and youth workers about social understanding needs to be informed by contemporary European policies and practices.
