International Technology Transfer and Catch-Up in Economic Development

This text reappraises the role of international technology transfer in the "catching up" process within developing countries since the late 1960s. It provides an overview and historiography of technology transfer issues, particularly "sourcing", which have emerged as a result of increasing globalization. The book aims to improve the understanding of how developing economies and economies in transition could approach technology transferpolicy in an increasingly globalized and open environment.
