Fluid Mechanics and Dynamics of Multi-Valve Engines (IMechE Seminar Publications)

Presents eight papers originally presented at the June 1999 seminar jointly organized by the Energy Transfer and Thermofluids Mechanics Group, and the Combustion Engines Group of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Written on the internal combustion engine papers explore such topics as the use of multiple poppet valves in reciprocating internal combustion engines, multi-valve cylinder heads for uniflow two-stroke engines, ranking the flow capacity for the design of multi-valve schemes, and modelling of transient flows in a four-valve pent-roof engine cylinder.
