Norris is currently Humanities Professor of Creative Writing at Brigham Young University; the author of thirteen volumes of poetry, he has won the Alice Hunt Bartlett and Cholmondeley Prizes in poetry and the Katherine Mansfield Award for short stories. An Open World introduces Norris's unique life and career, with poems by William Stafford and Ted Hughes and essays by Glyn Jones, Judith Kitchen, Peter Davison, Ted Walker, Brendan Galvin, William Matthews, Mark Jarman, and Fred Chappell.
