From Pain to Peace - JOY in the Midst of Suffering

On January 8, 2006, on a hospital bed in Indiana University Medical Center, Debbie Thomas heard the music of heaven and the voice of Jesus telling her He would take her home to be with Him that day. After enduring years of abdominal surgeries and debilitating pain, she was overjoyed with what she heard and experienced at the gates of heaven. But just a short time later, Debbie woke up to find out she was still alive and recovering from one of many life-threatening surgeries. For the past six years, Debbie s life has been filled with pain and suffering unlike any she has ever experienced, and she wondered why God did not take her home. Many people have prayed for her and are still praying for her today. God may have answered their prayers as a witness to His power to bring people back from the brink of death. He still has work for Debbie to do, and part of that work may be to chronicle His faithfulness on the journey she has traveled since this ordeal began.
