Specification for EOT Cranes for Steel Mill Service

Since the issuance of the June 1991 specification, four distinct service classes of cranes are now listed in this specification. This gives the purchaser a method to match the duty cycle of the application without overdesigning the crane and increasing its manufacturing costs. This report is a comprehensive and rational approach to the design and construction of steel mill cranes and other cranes having related or similar usage. The specification is divided into four main sections: general, structural, mechanical and electrical, with relative commentaries and appendices.
