The Horseman

Someone is killing the children of Charleston In a park in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, a lone figure hidden in the misty shadows of the early morning, gently places a dead child wrapped in a blanket under a tree. In a hospital across town, a special woman lies dying. She knows that she is called special when people mean she is different, and they do not always mean that in a kind way for they are often made uncomfortable by the way she looks and acts. Nevertheless, she dreams of doing one important thing for someone else before she leaves this life behind. In moments when she hovers between life and death, between this world and the next, she sees visions that frighten her but also might fulfill her wish. In yet another part of Charleston is Grady Tillis, a veteran in law enforcement but new to Homicide, who somehow must connect the dying woman with the shadowy figure in the park, and reluctantly confront the unsavory underbelly of his beloved town, a place of strange cults, murder and madness… …and he must do so before more of Charleston’s children are found dead.
