Amigo, the Teardrop

Can tears be our friends? Our friendly teardrop, Amigo, wants us to realize that they can be! This endearing story helps children think through various events we cannot always predict or control, that might bring sadness to us. Amigo helps children understand that there are different degrees of sadness, and that we all feel this way sometimes. He gives positive and specific ideas of things we can do to help us feel better, and he gives us permission to cry! Amigo ends his adventure by reminding children that people even cry sometimes when they are happy - a true sign that teardrops are our friends!
