Painted Mountain: An Early American Adventure

A true-to-life account of one man's odyssey across the vast American frontier in 1759 to avenge the deaths of his wife and two sons by a band of renegade Shawnees. While being held prisoner by the Shawnees, Josh Mosby befriends Tobahana, a Seneca warrior, who helps him escape only to begin a journey that takes them on an adventure that will eventually lead them to the Painted Mountain. They vow to send the infamous Scarface, scourge of the Shawnees to the spirit world of the damned, but after a year of dangerous encounters, Scarface still held his reputation as the most feared warrior on the frontier. Meriah, the sister of Tobahana, is taken by the Huron and held as a prize for Scarface, who uses her as a way to get to Tobahana. She eventually falls in love with Mosby, who helps save her from the evil Scarface. Miskka, the old Cherokee and fellow prisoner with Josh and Tobahana, becomes their best friend and hopes to return someday to his own people near the Cherokee's sacred Painted Mountain.
