Forgotten Legions Booklet: Additional Data of Information for the Classic Study on Lesser Known Waffen-SS Units

In 1991 the book, "Forgotten Legions: Obscure Combat Formations of the Waffen-SS, 1943-1945" was published. It soon became a "must have" item for those interested in the combat history of the Waffen-SS, eastern front, and foreign volunteer movement.The book ignored the elite SS panzer divisions and concentrated on the lesser known Waffen-SS formations, most of which were formed from foreign volunteers. This paperback booklet adds additional text, tables, maps and photographs to that work - information which did not make it into the hardcover edition. The author believes that this booklet should be used in conjunction with "Forgotten Legions" but many readers have expressed the opinion that the information in the booklet is so scarce and rare that the booklet can stand on its own. There are several horrific photographs of actual decapitations of partisans by an SS unit in Yugoslavia, so readers are warned that these pictures are quite graphic.
