In the Potter's House is a story, of four black women and their family, lovers, and ambitions, rich with passion, pain, inspiration, and indomitable friendship. Independent and driven the four women set out singularly in their quest for success. Sabina the beauty, nicknamed Butter is an aspiring night club singer. Rita, the pragmatic Preacher's daughter, is Olympic bound, Carol's exceptional flair for fashion design leads her to her own clothing line. Jesse's climb up the corporate ladder, first success is as a Bank Manager. Each woman's a solo journey toward the brass ring is halted by the unthinkable; rape, death, disease, and greed. Issues that they keep secret from each other. The friendship that bonds them becomes their salvage. Together they open a womans boutique and turn it into a multimillion dollar design and clothing retail store - Spectrum. Basking in their newfound success, they vow they are complete. They bury their problems, not one of them willing to acknowledge her pain even to herself. But one of the four's secrets threatens them all.
