John Reese thought it was all over for the Team of Darkness- all except for the nightmares. He thought wrong.
Just as he begins his teaching career, John Reese is suddenly recalled to active duty. Two previously-unknown young vampires have been kidnapped, and might be turned against the team. As Reese studies the kidnapping and those that were responsible for it, he recognizes that only one group could be involved -- The Team of Darkness. Does he tell General Stone that he not only lied but knowingly loosened the prized vampire team on the city to feed off of the very humanity they swore to protect? And does the mysterious Christina hold secrets to yet another mystery?
