What if your mom made raisin buns? is the story of a little boy who gets a bit too involved in his mom's raisin bun baking. He starts taking raisins out of buns, sticking raisins to the walls, drawing arms and legs around the raisins on the walls to make raisin bugs. After welcoming guests into the house, his mother gets mad and makes him take all the raisins off the walls. He does this while Gert and Harold, two real bugs, try to keep their distance but end up getting mixed into the mess.
Catherine Hogan Safer is a homesick Newfoundland writer living in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
