Ted McNulty, an Irish American poet living in Dublin, was raised in New York City by parents from counties Cavan and Clare. A onetime news reporter and university lecturer, he began writing poetry in his 50s and won the Hennessy/Sunday Tribune prize as New Irish Writer in 1991. His previous collection. Rough Landings, is also published by Salmon Poetry.
With the poet, Sheila O Hagan, he has conducted workshops for prisoners in Wormwood Scrubs Prison, London, and for inner city youth in Dublin and in London.
