Designed to be used in conjenction with Stephen Pollington's 'First Steps in Old English' this two CD set provides a good starting point for those wishing to learn Old English. The first CD contains readings of the great Old English texts, such as the Wanderer, sections of Beowulf, the Anglo Saxon Chronicle and legal and medical treatises. The second CD contains excercises designed to help the beginner in Old English.
