Practical Electric Discharge (Kirlian) Photography

The problems of formation of images in the gas discharge method of visualisation are generalised and examined in detail. The physical processes, taking place during electric discharge photography, are explained qualitatively. The methods of gas discharge visualisation are described: high-voltage sources, timers, exposure cells, and special attention is given to the optical and electrical methods and devices for recording electric discharges. The areas of practical application of electric discharge photography are described.
