Structure as Space: Engineering and Architecture in the Works of Jnrg Conzett

Structure as Space is a monograph on the work of the innovative Swiss engineer Jurg Conzett, who has been instrumental in redefining the relationship between structural engineering and architecture.
This volume illustrates Conzett's own exquisite designs, such as his granite stress-ribbon Suransuns Bridge, as well as his collaborations with Switzerland's leading architects, among them Peter Zumthor and Meili & Peter. These works are presented in "manual" form, providing the reader with a guide to the secrets underlying the development of each structure. Each project is documented with drawings and structural diagrams as well as photographs.
