In 1910-11 the Royal Aeronautical Society (under its former title of the Aeronautical Society of Great Britain) published a series of illustrated monographs 'Aeronautical Classics' recording the early writings on aeronautics of Sir George Cayley ('Aerial Navigation'), F. H. Wenham ('Aerial Locomotion'), Thomas Walker ('The Art of Flying'), Francesco Lana ('The Aerial Ship'), Percy Pilcher ('Gliding'), G. A. Borelli ('The Flight of Birds') and a review of 'The Aeronautical Work of John Stringfellow' . A compendium of milestones on the road to powered flight, these monographs are now available once more on this CD-ROM.
